I just caught up on your entire blog and I am shaking my head in wonder at the U.S. medical system. How can it be that my dog contracted Lyme Disease over 12 years ago, was diagnosed almost instantly, treated quickly and accurately and has been fine ever since (aside from a small amount of muscle loss in a front leg) and yet you (and so many other humans) are run ragged by misdiagnoses, horrible side-effects and attacks of 'faking it'. Oy!!! May 2009 be the year you kick those little Lyme asses!! Happy New Year!
In November 2007, I got sick and didn't get better. Many doctors later, I was finally diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and, later, Lyme disease. This blog is my way of keeping family and friends updated on my journey towards wellness.
Wow, Anna, thank you so much for posting this. I'll be looking for it here in Portland! I wish you all the best. <3
